Job Description

Position Overview: The Talent Acquisition Manager, reporting to the CHRO, will lead the talent acquisition team and oversee the recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent for both corporate and field positions. This individual will manage team objectives, implement effective recruitment strategies, and contribute to the development of Smashburger's employer brand internally and externally. The role is critical to ensuring a seamless, candidate-focused hiring process while aligning recruitment efforts with the company’s growth objectives.

This is an office hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in our Denver, Colorado Support Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage the talent acquisition team, ensuring recruiting partners have clear goals, objectives, and career development opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning: Create and implement effective recruitment strategies aligned with Smashburger’s company goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, prioritize positions, and align recruitment efforts with business objectives.
  • Candidate Evaluation: Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and assess candidates for specific roles assigned to the Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process when necessary.
  • Employer Branding: Contribute to the development and enhancement of Smashburger’s employment brand to attract top talent and showcase the company culture.
  • Offer Management: Manage salary negotiations, present job offers and facilitate the offer acceptance process.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Utilize data and metrics to track and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure recruitment practices comply with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Onboarding Collaboration: Work with HR business partners and other departments to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to continually optimize the talent acquisition process.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Strong background in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and candidate assessment.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies.
  • Proficiency in candidate sourcing using various channels, including social media, job boards, and networking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with hiring managers, candidates, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with hiring managers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Networking skills to establish connections within the industry and build a talent pipeline.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze recruitment metrics and optimize strategies accordingly.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software.
  • Comfortable negotiating job offers, developing compensation structures, and managing the offer acceptance process.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, industry trends, and recruitment best practices.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges and obstacles in the recruitment process.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with a strong foundation in full cycle recruiting, recruiting process management, and at least 1 year of experience leading or managing others.
  • Experience with commonly utilized ATS platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships across the organization, including internal and external stakeholders.
