Position OverviewMaison Tara is seeking a skilled and motivated Kitchen Prep Cook to join our production team. The Prep Cook plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our catering kitchen — preparing ingredients, assembling menu components, and ensuring that every event is executed to Maison Tara’s high standards of quality and presentation.

Key ResponsibilitiesExecute daily prep lists, including washing, chopping, portioning, and labeling ingredients.
Assist in the production of canapés, hors d’oeuvres, sauces, and event components.
Follow recipes and directions from chefs with consistency and attention to detail.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols at all times.
Support kitchen team with packing, loading, and on-site setup when needed.
Communicate effectively with chefs and teammates to meet event deadlines.
1–3 years of experience in a professional kitchen (catering, restaurant, or hotel).
Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques.
High attention to detail and a strong sense of organization.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Team-oriented attitude and respect for the craft of cooking.
Availability for flexible scheduling — including early mornings, weekends, and event days.
