Part Time Position
The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging physical education instruction aligned with state standards. The teacher promotes physical fitness, healthy habits, teamwork, and personal growth while ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Design and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that promotes physical activity, motor skill development, fitness, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Use a variety of instructional strategies and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students.
Create a positive classroom environment that fosters student engagement, cooperation, and respect.
Teach students the rules, techniques, and strategies of various sports and physical activities.
Supervise students in gymnasiums, outdoor areas, locker rooms, and during transitions to ensure student safety.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play in all activities.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and assessment results.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student development and school initiatives.
Organize and participate in school fitness events, intramural activities, or extracurricular athletic programs as needed.
Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of PE equipment and facilities.
Follow school district policies and procedures, including those related to safety and emergency preparedness.
