Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Part-Time Accountant to join a small nonprofit organization. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Sage Intacct and a strong background in accounting practices. Responsibilities: - Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. - Maintain and track fixed assets, including preparing related journal entries. - Monitor prepaid expenses and record associated journal entries. - Handle lease tracking and post relevant journal entries. - Reconcile accounts receivable and revenue between organizational systems and the General Ledger. - Calculate 403B contributions and prepare corresponding journal entries. - Manage restricted net assets and restricted cash tie-outs, including journal entries. - Prepare workpapers and journal entries for organizational events, such as the Global Gathering. - Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy. - Create and present financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. Requirements - Proficiency in Sage Intacct and extensive experience with journal entries. - Strong knowledge of general ledger and financial statement preparation. - Ability to perform bank and credit card reconciliations with precision. - Experience managing fixed assets and tracking prepaid expenses. - Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and revenue reconciliation. - Capability to calculate and record 403B contributions accurately. - Expertise in restricted asset management and related cash tie-outs. - Excellent organizational skills to manage workpapers and event-related accounting tasks.
