Human Resource Intern - Summer 2026

Job Description

Primary Purpose of Role:

Are you in search of a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in Human Resources? Joining Allison Transmission as a Human Resources Summer Intern will immerse you in an innovative and dynamic setting, allowing you to gain experience within the manufacturing sector. Our hands-on internship provides the opportunity to partner closely with the HR team and gain experience in areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

As an HR Intern, you will:

  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives, events, and programs.
  • Participate and support in formal and informal training opportunities
  • Contribute to projects supporting the Centers of Excellence (COE). Potential project areas include: Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, HR Operations, and Employee Relations
  • Perform general duties to support the HR team's daily operations and/or special projects.
  • Network and learn about multiple functions (Corporate Functions and Manufacturing)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or similar Business Field
  • Must rising Junior or Senior
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities proficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
